HEY MY FACEBOOK FAMILY I HAVE A QUESTION: DO YOU think that TV shows are busy promoting romances between black men with white women….or are they saying that black women are not lovable or worthy of shows promoting black men loving on their own women….like white men basically love, respect and marry their own women…or is tv merely promoting integration…remember that word….integration! YEAH, I SAID IT…..STELLA IN THE CITY!
IT IS A LOW DOWN DIRTY SHAME that what was an awesome victory for our city last year and even more so for 13 talented Chicago kids, who love and played the game of little league baseball like no other….is now tainted and soiled.
WHEN I HEARD THE UNBELIEVABLE AND shocking news on Wednesday that the much celebrated Jackie Robinson West little League team had been stripped of their national championship title, my face hit the floor in disbelief. The startling revelation that sent negative shock waves throughout Chicago and beyond, became a reality due to an investigation by Little League International and a whistleblowing coach, who noticed and subsequently challenged the residential boundaries’ rule and snatched the trophies out of these awesome young players hands saying that the JRW team’s officials let kids who lived outside the team’s residential boundaries and tried to cover it up, which is illegal in the little league world.
THE SADDEST PART OF THIS baseball scandal is these precious and skillful young boys who played their hearts out, but unbeknownst to them, never suspected that the adults managing them, wanted them to win so badly that they used deceptive practices. And now these babies are in the spotlight all over the world for cheating. But the kids had no knowledge that shenanigans behind the scene would lead to this very public embarrassment.
BUT I SAY THIS TEAM WILL REMAIN OUR NATIONAL CHAMPS In all of our hearts, soul and spirit even though this is devastating news at the end of this proud and glorious journey and celebrity treatment that most young athletes could only dream of in their lives. It was not the kids fault, but the adults involved.
I AM PUBLICLY ASKING that these kids’ fellow students at their various schools will show only support and love for the little champions. I SAY THIS BECAUSE KIDS CAN BE SO MEAN AND CRUEL through the internet and cyber bullying, especially when a kid is feeling down and hurting inside. When you see these kids, reach out to them and just hug them real tight…and tell them they are going to be alright!
THIS SITUATION IS A GAME changer for sure and for here on out every little league team members need to be thoroughly checked out so this will not happen again. Folks are crying racism and i am sure it played a role. After all, the reality is that it is a white man’s world and black folks will always be judged more harshly. So I hope and pray that these precious and beautiful kids will get through this crisis with a minimum of emotional scarring and will continue to embrace and look forward to the rest of their lives with their heads held high and smiling proudly about all of their accomplishments as young black Mandingo warriors!
YEAH, I SAID IT….STELLA IN THE CITY!
I HAVE ALWAYS FELT that no women on this planet are as strong, steadfast and devoted to their men as are black women….yet, at the same time, so tolerant of disrespect and degradation like our younger generation of women. Black women weaved up to the Gods are constantly being portrayed in a negative light and overall image on reality shows thanks to other sistas’, who are being paid to serve up a hot platter of cussin,’ fussing’, unnecessary cat fighting and sexual exploitation, while brazenly carrying, in most cases, an expensive Hermes bag, thrown in a lot to make it seem like these black reality girls have class and taste! While, the Hermes empire, which I am sure is owned by a family of white folks, is loading up on more and more ca-ching….and the minds of our young girls are loading up on trashy images and emulating bad behavior in the hood.
WITH ALL THIS WRETCHEDNESS and shade (reality women favorite two words) going on via media outlets, such as Bravo, Vh-1 and others, I find myself wondering how other men, not black, are perceiving the black woman, especially since our gangsta’ black rappers think nothing of degrading black women through their music for so many years and have made big bank off of the same young women, who they downgrade with their misogynist lyrics.
I AM LEFT FEELING THAT in this present day,we are even more viewed as loose booty, no class and no dignity having women, who just will never be on the same level or held in high regard as the revered white woman that soooooooooooooooooooo many of the brothers covet, and probably because of these shows that portray black women in such a negative light, only feel more justified that they covet women other than their own. And I am sure the majority of the cameramen filming these episodes are laughing like crazy inside…and maybe getting a hard on in the process. (Oops! Did I say that?)
THESE REALITY girls will talk about any and everything no matter how vulgar and tasteless the subject is……and while carrying an $80,000 purse, right Porsha Williams? Even using the words dick and pussy and titties and clit which are used without batting an eye!
BLACK WOMEN WAKE UP AND SMELL THE SKANK IMAGES poured and served up to our PEOPLE BY OUR PEOPLE! WHAT DO YOU THINK?
YEAH I SAID IT …….STELLA IN THE CITY!
